How to film yourself easily, even if you have never done it before

Face a window or place light in front of you or to the side. Put the phone at eye level, leave a little space above your head and avoid a noisy, echoing room.

A stable phone and a simple lavalier microphone already make a visible difference. Sound is often more important than an imperfect picture.

Talk as if you are speaking to one person, prepare a few key points instead of memorising every word and film several takes in a row. Pauses and slips can always be removed in editing.
